The craft of rolling, lopping, twisting, and curling strips of paper to create beautiful pictures, is known as quilling. It’s origins are not entirely known, but some believe it dates back to 15th century Europe, when Italian and French nuns would use this technique to imitate and replicate iron decorations in order to save money.
This kit contains everything you need to create your own piece of art using Abstract artist Kandinsky’s Circle painting as inspiration.
This kit has been created to enable a student to create an individual piece of art or as part of a collaborative project with their group or class.
Students can practice some of the other techniques that are used to create other shapes commonly found in quilling artwork.
